Individual Appointments

Individual appointments consist of a 50 minute session. The initial appointment is used for assessment and formulation of an intervention plan.

Our clinicians utilise elements from a number of psychological intervention modalities including: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Strength Based goal setting and Psychotherapy.

The first appointment involves a Psychosocial Assessment which  explores current difficulties, support networks, physical & mental health history, developmental history, current goals, and future goals.

It is helpful to bring any recent reports and/or additional information from recent or current support providers that you are willing to share or feel will be beneficial .

Ongoing appointments consist of a tailor made intervention plan to assist and support you to achieve your goals. These appointments, and the therapy method utilised, may remain fixed or fluid depending on your needs.

This appointment is an important final step. The previous appointments are re-capped, and a plan is discussed for ongoing support options, as well as relapse prevention planning.
